This is the best-looking bar in Media. Sligo has a timeless feel inside and out. ALL of the staff are kind and attentive. The drinks are made right and the food has been stellar. We had freshly made nachos last night by Walt that really hit the spot. There're plenty of fun activities going on at Sligo, like trivia night, that make going out with friends painless and fun. The multiple TVs are great for watching events as well.

Cozy, Irish pub in the heart of downtown Media that serves a hearty food menu, non-alcoholic Guiness and hosts Quizzo! The only two drawbacks were no dessert options and some of the locals were pretty loud and obnoxious but that's Delco drunks for ya.

I love this affordable, lively Irish pub in the heart of Media! I am working in the area and my coworkers and I have loved coming here the past few weeks. At night, the seats are first come first serve and there are a variety of options (bar seating, high tops, tables). It is always a fun vibe here! The drinks are very reasonably priced. I have had their draft ciders here as well as a cosmo. The cosmos with Tito's are only $7! A steal! I also had their buffalo chicken sandwich here. OMG was it delish! I loved all the blue cheese on it and it came with a hefty portion of fries as well. This spot is definitely a no frills, Irish pub, but we wouldn't have it any other way!

I love Sligo, always come here with friends when I'm home from college. It's a better place to drink than the rowdier bars as you can have a genuine conversation and actually hear yourself speak. On top of the drinks, the food never disappoints. I love the irish nachos, and their wings are kick-ass.

I brought a holiday bar crawl here last night, and with some clear communication and respect, Tim and Breanna were two of the best bartenders I've ever had. We were treated so well, and I cannot recommend this bar enough. Slainte!

Came here for lunch on a Saturday. The place was almost empty at the time, so it was very nice to have the place all to ourselves. Service was prompt and pleasant. The decor is very classy. Nice draught beer list, and great menu options for everyone. But if you're here, you have to try the Irish food! We had the Guinness Beef Stew and the Fish and Chips. Both were outstanding. And to top it off, the bartender made a great half-and-half! Next time I'm in Media, this will be my choice for dinner or drinks!

Sligo was packed on a Friday night (as expected), yet our server, who was also manning the bar, was extremely attentive to our table! She was great and made drink recommendations for us. We had the fish and chips (huge and crispy!) and the corned beef Reuben (tons of meat on it). Prices were reasonable for State Street and the portion size. They were out of a few draft beers we wanted to try (again, expected on a busy Friday). There were also some unexpected substitutions on the Reuben from what was stated on the menu (type of bread, type of cheese) but it was still very good, and I'd order it again. Cozy atmosphere, lively bar, and weeknight events, like quizzo!

Stopped in randomly for lunch with friends (our original choice was closed until the dinner hour). We were pretty hungry and pub food sounded good. It was seat yourself and the bartender also acted as waiter (probably due to the time of day, otherwise I'd assume they have wait staff). We didn't wait long for our food to come out (once we finally decided on our meals). Everyone enjoyed the flavor, textures, and quantity of food that came out. Beer selection was good (obviously...) and they had Irish beers available - very "on theme". All in all, if you're not looking for something fancy, want some comfort food and a good beer, and like having games on the screens above the bar AND a random but excellent playlist going in the background check this place out. Staff was friendly and prompt!
